Radiofrequency Microneedling

What is Radiofrequency Microneedling?

RF microneedling is the use of an energy device that contains a grid of tiny microneedles. After your skin is numbed, the microneedles are inserted into the skin at the depth set by your trained provider. In a matter of seconds, a small amount of “energy” in the device is delivered to that area of skin. The combination of the microneedles and energy delivery cause micro-injuries in the area, which stimulates collagen to be formed. The results are tighter skin, fewer fine lines & wrinkles, and even smaller fat areas (like under the chin).

What is the downtime of RF microneedling?

This will vary depending on the type of RF microneedling device is used at the medspa you visit. At Elevated Aesthetics, our device is Candela’s Profound Matrix Pro, and we are proud to say that this technology comes with little to no downtime! It is set apart from other competitors by having the smallest microneedles on the market, and only requires one pass to achieve reaching all 3 depths of the skin. Other devices require up to 3 passes on the treatment area due to their inability to treat all 3 depths simultaneously. Don’t let the little downtime fool you though; the results are equally amazing or in many instances are better!

How much is RF microneedling?

A full face treatment is $750, and if the neck is included it is $900. We do also offer treatment of specific areas, and we classify these by their size. For example, a “tiny area” would be one small area like under the eyes or above the lips and is $450 per treatment. A “small area” is often the perioral area, which consists of the skin above and below the lips, as well as the nasolabial folds, marionette lines/jowls, and the chin. This is $550 per treatment. The lower half of the face is a popular treatment area, is considered a “medium area” and thus is $650.

Financing options are available. Please inquire at the time of your consultation.

How long do the results of RF microneedling last?

Typical results will last 6-12 months, sometimes longer if other modalities are used in combination with RF microneedling or in between treatments, such as PRF, Sculptra, neurotoxins, and/or filler.

If RF microneedling painful?

We use a topical numbing cream to keep it comfortable. Most patients’ discomfort ranges from a 0-5 out of 10, and it is usually described as a “zing,”or “zap.” Some areas can be “spicy” like above the lips. However, we’ve never had anyone abandon treatment due to discomfort!
